A brief history of Douze Douze

The Douze Douze (1212) Association was founded in 1995, when in partnership with the MAC Association it launched the urban arts festival Kosmopolite (2001-2008).

It brings together visual artists whose collectivity and links with the urban arts and multimedia technologies enhance its thinking and projects, whether collective or individual. The many forms of expression include performances, interactive and other installations, exhibitions, creative arts workshops and so on.

This contemporary art is the product of a mix of global and local reflections on society and culture whose purpose is to enrich daily life.

Our mission as artists makes us eager to share and work with our audiences so that they can go from being spectators to cultural actors, the same kind of motion and development that underlies our own artistic practices.
